Registration

Placing an Ad
Log on to WhateverFloatsYourBoat.ca, then click Place an Ad at the top of the page. Select which category best defines the item your selling, and follow the prompts from there. You will be prompted to enter text in the appropriate fields and to download photographs. You specify how prospective buyers will contact you – by phone or email. Just like newspaper classifieds, you can remain anonymous until you meet the buyer.
Boats for Sale
Your 'boat for sale' ad can include up to 10 photographs. (If you need help obtaining quality photos of your boat, call us. A fee may apply.) The General Description field, which appears on the main category listings page, can contain up to 400 keystrokes (approximately 60 words). We've also created additional fields to help you describe in full the features and value your boat offers, in a well organized and easy to read format. You can enter unlimited text in these fields.
Items for Sale
For all other categories, you can include up to 400 keystrokes (approximately 60 words) of text and one photograph with your ad. The photo is optional; your ad will still appear prominently in the category you choose with or without a picture.
All ads will appear on-line immediately. After that, it's easy to monitor or update your listings. Just log in, and click My Active Ads. If you’re running several ads at once, My Active Ads will list all your current listings. Or click My Expired Ads to review or instantly renew previous ads.
We'll send you an email when your ad is about expire, so if your item hasn't yet sold, you can renew the ad for uninterrupted exposure. Please delete an ad once the item is sold.
